I think my computer has gotten a virus :X

I can only view pages on AOL, Firefox will not connect, even though AOL will.

and I had a debug error, some adware, and sometimes text is HUGE on AOL...specifically the firefox help page X_X

Best buy geek squad. it'll cost some $$$ but beilieve me they will repair your comp so well it'll be like getting it brand new.

EDIT: plus there's a chance they or someone they know made the virus so they'll know how to fix it.

I recommend you download the program "spyware search & destroy" It will clear all the cookies and spyware probably on your comp. I highly doubt it's a virus.
If u can't get the program for free, i can send you a copy, cuz i have it via e-mail.

Damn, this is weird as hell.

Basically, I scanned my comp, found 75 tracker cookies(wtf are tracker cookies) and I STILL CANNOT open firefox, but everything else works.

It's probably not a virus but it's ANNOYING AS HELL.

I even reinstalled firefox, but, nothing.

cookies are given from sites you visit and they track where you go. very useful for advertsiing and slowing your computer down.

on my comp all u have to do is click tools-> internet options-> delete cookies.

It's this site my computer was just attacked by a pop up from this site. Luckily it was blocked.

cookies are yummy.... But not good for your computer...

So, I found out what it was.

Firefox, has a problem with AVG8.0 and it's LinkScanner extension.

If you have Firefox AND AVG DO NOT get the LinkScanner, it's one of the biggest crashes for firefox.

for a temporary fix, I disabled it, eventually I'm just gonna get rid of LinkScanner completely
